Talking About Automotive Electrical Systems

Hello, I am Terry. Welcome to my website exploring automotive electrical systems. The modern vehicle is filled with electronics that run the integral components and ensure passenger comfort, safety and satisfaction. The electronics are all operated by the onboard computer in some way or another. Each system may include a multitude of sensors that talk to the computer several times a second. These interconnected systems keep your vehicle running efficiently. The systems can also alert you to a developing problem. Please feel free to use the information on my site to better understand your own vehicle’s electrical systems and identify problems before it's too late.

3 BIG Reasons Every Driver Needs A Few Gallons Of Water In Their Trunk Through The Summer

Leonard White

You may have heard it before, but keeping an ample supply of water in your car could be one of the wisest decisions you ever make as a driver. Before you take off on any trip that is expected to take you beyond just a few miles from your home, it is best to have a a few gallons of water tucked away in the trunk. Here are three of the biggest reasons why having water on hand could make all the difference when you are relying on a car or truck to take you where you need to go.

Stay hydrated if you have to wait on a tow truck or help for a long period.

If you happen to be stranded in the middle of the summer, things can get pretty intensely hot inside your vehicle at a rapid pace. Therefore, it will be absolutely crucial that you stay well hydrated while you wait for help to arrive. However, it will also be important to have water on hand to stay hydrated if you get stuck in bad weather or stranded a long distance from the nearest town or towing company, as you could be facing a long wait time for help to arrive. Try to keep enough water on hand for you and the passengers that normally travel with you just in case there is ever an emergency.

Use the water to keep you cool in the summer months.

Water is necessary for hydration, but it can also be used to help regulate body temperature if you are stranded in the middle of summer. Pour the water on a cloth and use it to wet your face, back of your neck, under your arms, and behind your knees. Doing so will help you feel cooler in general and can also help prevent you from experiencing heat exhaustion.

Fill up your coolant tank if there is a leak.

An empty coolant tank in the hottest months of the year can mean big problems for your engine. Not only will you not have any air conditioning, but your engine could overheat and leave you stranded. Having a few gallons of distilled water on hand could be a lifesaver if you suddenly realize your coolant tank is completely empty and you are in the middle of nowhere. In fact, having this water on hand could be the only thing that prevents you from being stranded in such situations.
